Concrete Strategies performed the structural concrete and flatwork packages for the new Umrath House on Washington University’s campus.

Concrete Strategies performed the structural concrete and flatwork packages for the new Umrath House on Washington University’s campus. Standard 4000 psi concrete was used for the foundations and slab on grades and 4000 psi lightweight concrete was used for the deck pour. Due to a prefabricated, light gauge decking system, strict FF tolerances required for each 2-inch light gauge deck pours and a walk-behind laser screen was utilized to meet FF requirements. This project utilized subsurface-drilled pier system, 16-foot to 30-foot tall, crane set, ganged foundation and shear walls. Formed, elevated, chiller roof deck.
