Washington University 560 Garage
St. Louis, Missouri
This design-built, twelve-story precast parking garage is adjacent to the Centene Plaza building in Clayton, Missouri. The garage consist of two levels below street grade parking and ten levels above. In addition, 50,000-square-feet of retail space are incorporated into the main level of the garage. It is connected via an open air plaza to the Centene tower and by a glass bridge to the adjacent tower property. This project had a 10 month duration from demolition through completion. The front facing facade of the garage has a Ned Kahn designed kinetic art wall which covers the entire face of the structure. This garage is a true representation of a composite retail and open air garage design and truly exhibits the speed and quality at which a structure like this can be completed.
