The Cupples Nine project is a redevelopment of a historic warehouse built in 1894 into a Class A office building.

The existing seven-story warehouse is located on the corner of Spruce and 9th Street in the highly sought after area one block west of Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. Space on the first floor is dedicated to retail stores and restaurants, with the remaining six floors designed for commercial use.

Performed approx $800,000 of existing timber replacement/repair/rework. Involved removing existing 3.5-inch timber decking to evaluate and/or remove replace timber beams/girders in addition to exposing new elevator/stair shafts. Once replaced, the decking that was salvaged was re-fastened. All work was directed and inspected by the structural engineer.

CSI overlayed the existing wood floors with sound mat and 3-inch normal weight concrete topping, approximately 185,000-square-feet.

Included ramp walls in the lower level, three elevator pit foundations/walls and replacing a portion of the basement foundation wall that was removed for access.

Performed the site concrete work including concrete patios, stamped patios, concrete stairs, curb & gutters and planter walls.
