Concrete Strategies performed the structural concrete and flatwork for this new 225,000-square-foot Patient Tower.

Large construction zone, phased parking removal and reconstruction areas with consistent public and staff entry points maintained throughout, provided an environment that eliminates confusion and is safe for everyone. Project features new Learning Institute for the Clinical Learning Institute (CLI) for the School of Nursing, new bed tower with medical office building, operating room expansion, new pre- and post-operating spaces, relocated helipad to the roof of an existing bed tower, 460-car above grade parking structure and various new mechanical and electrical support spaces.

The CLI includes obstetrics/pediatrics/surgical/skills simulation labs; distance learning and education classrooms, a resource center, computer lab, student commons and faculty office space. The exterior skin was selected as an extension of the current campus aesthetic, utilizing brick tile and precast concrete panels. The first phase of Site Work was completed ahead of schedule and under budget.
