This Concrete Strategies project was part of a $1-billion contract for the United States Army Core of Engineers to complete a new dam. Olmstead Dam is located in Southern Illinois and is dams the Ohio River. The project consists of twin 110-foot wide by 1,200-foot long lock chambers located near the Illinois shoreline. CSI placed and finished some of the concrete dam sections.
