Concrete Strategies performed the flatwork for the 200,000-square-foot expansion project for this distribution facility in Brookville, Ohio, for Collective Brands, Inc. (Payless ShoeSource). This addition required a 200,000-square-foot industrial floor slab to withstand the equipment and traffic of moving hundreds of thousands of pairs of shoes per day.

This 7-inch floor slab contained 4,500-cubic-yards of concrete and was completed along with the tilt-up panels, foundations and site concrete in less than two months.

A sloped curtainwall system and metal panel siding provide interesting accents to the tilt-up concrete facility. Interior features include 32-foot clear heights, 20,560-square-feet of office space, an employee break room, and approximately five mile of conveyors.
